Each slice is a div element that contains background image width different background-positioins.Slice width will be wrapperWidth/numberOfSlices and height will be wrapperHeight/numberOfSlices(Make sure the result doesn't have a point extension). All the slices combined together will create the image along with the visual effect.

The reason for taking number of slices an excat number divisible by width/height is, the image background position cannot be given a value like '20.6px 10.43px'. If given this will be taken as '20px 10px'. This will be rendered correctly only in mozilla and in all the other browsers this value will be truncated. So if you use this plugin make sure that the number of slices is a number which divides the image dimension excatly.

I'll modify your code to slide the image on the perpendicular direction. e.g. Vertical blinds with image sliding left-right (image composed of many vertical strips, alternating one of each image. Example: (Watch out PCs!! Chrome tells me this site is DANGEROUS. Hi gnani, Thanks for your intrest. The problem will be basically from the browser which you are using and since you are performing zoom operation(s) on the browser, the image which you see is not a single image. So when increased/decreased in the size, all the pieces should be proportionally increased/decreased which depends on the browser functionality. I believe these are the reasons for your anomalies.
